Module 1 Language and background to language learning and teaching
TKT shows how you are developing as a teacher. It is ideal for people who want to prove their teaching knowledge with a globally recognised certificate. TKT is a flexible series of modular teaching qualifications, which test your knowledge in specific areas of English language teaching. You receive a Cambridge English certificate for each module you complete. After taking TKT, you can take other Cambridge English teaching qualifications such as ICELT and Delta. TKT is at Foundation to Developing stages on the Cambridge English Teaching Framework.
What is the target audience?
EFL teachers of any level and experience.
The aim of the course is to train the candidates for the TKT Module 1 test.
What does Module 1 test?
This module tests your knowledge of:
– terms and concepts of English language teaching;
– factors underpinning the learning of English;
– knowledge of the range and functions of the choices of materials, tasks and activities teachers have at their disposal to cater for these learning factors.
